Imaginext and Star Wars: The Saga Continues!

In my April 12 column, I highlighted how Imaginext and Star Wars and were coming together with a new 24-inch Darth Vader base/action figure and asked the question – could we see more in this line?

That question has been answered!

The new Imaginext Star Wars R2-D2 has been unveiled and is available for pre-order!

Standing over 17 inches tall, R2-D2 features lights and sounds, a hidden projectile launcher, pretend spinning blade.

It comes with a standard-sized Imaginext C-3PO (which is bound to be its own collector’s item in itself).

When you place the C-3PO character key on the Power Pad and turn, the R2-D2 comes to life with what they state are those all to0 familiar R2 sounds and head-spinning action.

Pre-orders are now being taken at both WalMart.com and Amazon.com with a mid-June arrival date.

Price point for the new Imaginext Star Wars R2-D2: $79.99.
