Abby Holland / Abigail Arcane

This is a figure that may have been discussed as a pack in with the DC Swamp Thing figure. Swamp Thing was paired with a sleeveless Batman, of course, but both “Abby” and Batman come with the same backpack accessory… which must be needed to hunt out the Swamp Thing.

While Abigail doesn’t have a costume, she is often wearing red and blue, and always has pure, white hair.

Big (Tom Hanks)

This one is special! From the movie “Big”, this is the robot that Tom Hanks’ characters can’t understand what it does, or why any kid would want it. It is the transforming building.

Where did the original movie prop end up? Did Tom Hanks take it home and display it? Or did it get trashed or stuck in the back of a studio warehouse?

RoboCop

Imaginext bling bag figure shares the look of the RoboCop movie half-policeman/half-robot. The thin eye-slit, rounded chin guard and ribbed abdominal area, definitely make it clear RoboCop was an inspiration for this figure.

The extended shoulder armor, the police badge/shield on his chest, and the complex boots with weapon straps also look like another Future Cop… Judge Dredd.

As to what the translucent helmet spike might be, the best guess is a police light for traffic stops.

Ghostbusters

Imaginext blind bag figures closely resemble the classic Ghostbuster movie characters. Proton Pack/Gun, Ecto Goggles, PKE Meter.

Adventure People

Multiple Adventure People references

Sack Head Jason Vorhees

Jason has been killed so many times, he must qualify as a zombie?

This Zombie figure is available in Series 3 bling bags. The figure, when unmasked, is a zombie, which resembles the cameo of Jason at the end of the original Friday the 13th (his mother was the killer in the original.) In the sequel, Jason gets in on the fun, wearing a bag or sack on his head, with a single eye-hole.

It is not until Part 7 then Jason uses a weed-eater/weed-whacker type weapon. There is a YouTube clip at the below… it is not very gory, but it’s not suitable for young Imaginext fans.

And just in case all these references to a single-eye holed, sack head, weed-whacker wielding zombie is not enough to convince you, Imaginext posted this message one Friday the 13th to all their fans.

Universal Monsters

While the characters are public domain, the Dracula, Gilman, Wolfman, Invisible Man and Frankenstein’s Monster sure look like the classic Universal Monster versions.

Snake Mountain Voice Changer Microphone

Imaginext Serpent Strike Microphone is an homage to Snake Mountain Voice Changer.

Triple Threat Snake

Bling bag Imaginext snake warrior is Battle Beasts homage to Triple Threat Snake.
